What is the equivalent of "Drift Wide" for ST position in FC25

★★ Guide

In FC 24, while setting a ST at False 9, i was able to add a "Drift Wide" insruction so that the ST occupied wide areas while my wingers cut inside. How can i do this in FC25?

Update to my previous post, tested a new tactic with both a single and dual striker formation, and the 'Wide' focus appeared under the Target Forward squad role. Unsure why missing on your end. If any question, simply highlight a player and click the 'Y' button (on Xbox consoles), to bring up all possible options.

@Skouprinio I am not sure if false 9 has it but I think it’s complete under one of the other ones.

For the results you are attempting to achieve, there are only two possibilities. The closest variance is 'Target Forward' with a 'Wide' focus, while the other is 'Advanced Forward' with a 'Complete' focus. If you are utilizing a dual forward formation, then probably incorporate one striker with the Target Forward with a Wide focus, and the other with a central role (Poacher or Advanced Forward with the Attack focus). If using a single attacker formation, any striker instruction that dictates wide play does not translate well in EA FC 25 with the rigid style of new tactics, because you will be reliant on CAMs, CMs, or wings regularly getting into the box, which does not happen, until a game patch corrects the issues. The False 9 instruction is currently also near useless, unless attempting to mimic an additional CAM role, e.g. 4-2-2-2 formation with a third CAM for certain situations.

Target forward has no wide focus, it has only balanced and attack and they are both central.

Am unsure what happened to the Target Forward focus instruction for wide play. Know for a fact that I have used that focus option in the past. At the time of the response to your post, did not have the game loaded to verify, however, used an online site for reference to ensure that I remembered properly. Perhaps that focus instruction was removed in Title Update 3, however, doubtful, due to the other instructions already having limited focuses to choose from. That is one reason I never use Poacher, as there is only the Attack focus. Apologies for any mistake in reporting a possible solution, will conduct further research. Currently, the game is overly complex with the compartmentalized nonsense for AI controlled user player behavior, if anything, EA developers need to add dozens of new focuses, or redesign the tactics sheets by implementing the previous versions with individual player instructions.

@CinKid73 you were correct. There is actually a Wide focus under Taget forward. But i hope they add this to the False 9 profile also. The target forward makes runs directly and wide, i need him to drop deep while centrally and run behind while going wide.
