Was Gibby's gun shield fixed?

I never play with gibby but have heard his timer on his gun shield, when broken, is instantly reset upon switching guns. If it hasn't been fixed I highly recommend a fix. It's extremely op and annoying when you are constantly shooting his gun shield and never getting to his body shield. Imo

A video i saw on youtube said that the shield only shows visually after being depleted, but no longer blocked damage, giving the Gibraltar player a false sense of security.

I don't think it's real.

Or if it is, it's a bug. I'm pretty sure it isn't supposed to happen. There might be some video covering it, but it's likely it was like a year ago when they were still ironing out his gun shield. If someone can find a/the video of it, that'd be great, but I don't think it's real.

This is what the OP was referring to. It was a bug back in s3, Pretty sure it's been fixed as i havent noticed it this season.
