Want to play on Xbox and PC, do I have to buy 2 copies? [ Edited ]

Hi,

like the title says, I want to play this on both Xbox One and PC.

Will I have to buy 2 copies of the game for each platform?

Will progress be saved between platforms?

@gregorzmac You’d have to buy different copies, because the disc types used are different and I’m pretty sure they won’t work in a console other than the one they are designed for. Pretty sure progress also won’t be saved.

@gregorzmacI have the same questions. Will you need separate digital copies (two copies) to play Star Wars Squadrons on xbox and PC, playing on/from the same Microsoft account?

I bought the game on the xbox store, but I now plan on playing this on PC-VR as well. Would be really annoying if I had to buy two copies.

@CA1-PAINLESS I know you can play an Xbox game on a PC with Windows 10 if the game is "Play Anywhere" compatible but I can't find any info to say that it is.
I think you'll have to buy two versions.

@CA1-PAINLESS The answers in this thread are correct. You need to purchase the game separately for each platform you'd like to play on.
