The maps aren't big enough to support vehicles.
This would ruin the idea of the game for me.

Maybe on a future map release that's bigger and supports more squads?

Way to just kill all the fun, what?  A 20 mile/hour hoverboard would be too game breaking for you? It's basically horse riding at that speed.
