Upgrading from 7 to Windows 10 causing more crashes. FX6300

★★★★★ Novice

Hello Everyone,

I recently upgraded to windows 10 after getting my hands on a SSD, and new liquid cooler. I have been playing apex prior to this on the windows 7 OS and a standard HDD.

After upgrading to windows 10, and reinstalling the game I am experiencing:

A: More crashes. (I am only able to play maybe 1 out of 10 matches with out crashing, instead of what I was used to maybe 1 out of 10 games causing a crash at best).

B. Less FPS.

C. More Audio Stuttering.

Overall I wish I was still on windows 7, because I could at least play the game within reason. Now I am relatively out of luck. Matchmaking with friends is out of the question as the game will lock up and time out immediately.

Here is my DxDiag.

Alright im gonna let you know that your experiencing the same thing every other win 7/8 user upgraded to 10 has experienced.

and the answer is simple. .

Drivers

Now the drivers are not something that is updated via windows update you have to get them from the manufacturer.

Follow my guide to the Core windows maintenence section only:

https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues/In-Depth-Trouble-shooting-Guide/m-p/7472105#M165

If you know how to update your bios i suggest doing that.

Lastly, scroll to the bottom of the guide to known unique issues, its relevent to your CPU.

and this should get you all set for windows 10 Standard smile
