Transfer gamertag to new EA account

I would like to know how to transfer my Xbox gamertag from my old account to the new one. The problem is that the email account to my old account no longer exists since I had deleted and had not used my old EA account in many years. I am trying to games using my new account but it keeps connecting me to my old account. What can be done to resolve this issue?
