Today's Patch. Optimizing the game.

★ Guide

Just wanted to formally thank EA/Respawn for an unbeatable patch. 30meg.

This little 30meg file took my 151FPS down to a now smooth 80FPS.

Maybe Nvidia gave you a little something to sell there new range of cards?

(Same with the new Nvidia driver, 151FPS drop to 80FPS, insane coincidence)

Specs: 9900k I9, 16Gig ram, 1080Ti OC

Now 80FPS? no words my friends, no words

Hey @wongcung

That's definitely rough. Have you tried repairing Apex Legends in Origin to see if that makes any difference at all? If there's some kind of issue with the game files that might help. If you right-click on the game in your Origin Library you'll see a Repair option when the menu comes up. Let me know if that helps at all with the FPS.

@vF_fatal

Hmm, I see. This might be related to an issue we've been tracking for a bit. When you have the chance can you try rolling back to NVIDIA Driver 452.06 to see if that makes any difference? We saw some reports that using that specific driver may help with the FPS drops some people have been seeing.

Let me know if that helps in your case as well. Thanks!

Same here.

Been this way since the Tuesday update. Tried everything suggested in the forums, rolled back the Nvidia Driver, reinstalled the game, but the issues persist.

Went from stable 144 to sub 60 at times.

What do we do?

I also have the same issue with new recent frame drops after 2 days ago from 180+ down to 70-80 avg in fights and 130 fps tops........

CPU: i9 9900k

GPU: 2080ti

Every other game runs fine. I've repaired like 8 times, reinstalled the game, reinstalled drivers, took any OC off. Nothing is working.

@acenin9  @wongcung

I finally found something that worked - turning off Nvidia Reflex:

  1. Open the Origin Launcher.
  2. Go to My Game Library.
  3. Find Apex Legends and right-click the game.
  4. Select Game Properties.
  5. Click the Advanced Launch Options tab.
  6. +gfx_nvnUseLowLatency 0 to disable NVIDIA Reflex Low Latency.

Let me know if it works for you!
