@DavidG53 ok that makes sense thanks for the info, aside from some weirdness in 4th to 6th gear with the car just losing grip (could be my driving too much steering angle etc) i really enjoy this years handling model and looking forward to the transmission changes you mentioned previously for power/torque delivery.

@EA_rephii Thanks, fixed the audio issue but has resulted in a new issue.
After the thrustmaster update my game has constant microstutters, really annoying. Please look into that.

Mine runs fine. Did you change any other settings at the same time?

maybe try deleting your hardware settings file and see if that helps.

Did you check your firmware and if you confirmed your wheelbase WE could tell you if you hadn't.

There are only firmware updates for some wheelbases the patch notes from Thrustmaster are here

PC - DRIVERS FORCE FEEDBACK [Package 2022_TTRS_1] + Firmware

System Requirement: Windows® 10 / 11

This driver package is compatible with these racing wheels:

- T-GT (on PC, the USB sliding switch on the T-GT racing wheel base must always be set to the OTHER position!)
- TS-XW RACER
- TS-PC RACER
- TX
- TMX
- T500
- T300 (on PC, the USB sliding switch on the T300 racing wheel base must always be set to the PC-PS3 position!)
- T248-PS
- T248-X
- T150 (on PC, the USB sliding switch on the T150 racing wheel base must always be set to the PS3 position!)
- BT LED DISPLAY
- TM Sim Hub

Changes made in new driver version [2022_TTRS_1]:

- Fixed some compatibility issues with F1 2022 – PC
* When used with a T-LCM Pedals set connected via USB simultaneously with a Thrustmaster wheel base.
* When used with a T-LCM Pedals set connected via USB simultaneously with a base from another brand (such as Logitech, Fanatec, etc.).
* When used with a Thrustmaster wheel base (even if it is not a Force Feedback wheel, T80 racing wheel, Ferrari Racing Wheel Red Legend Edition, e.g.).

Important notes regarding F1 2022 - PC:

- In addition to installing this new driver, it is also recommended to disconnect your other USB gaming devices (such as USB shifter, USB handbrake, USB gamepad, etc.) in order to avoid any conflicts with USB wheels and/or USB pedal sets.

- If you are using a Ferrari F1 Wheel Add-On simultaneously with a T-LCM Pedals set connected via USB, you must select NORMAL Mode (and not ADVANCED MODE) in the Thrustmaster Control Panel. You can select ADVANCED MODE only if the T-LCM Pedals set is connected directly to the Thrustmaster wheel base with the RJ12 cable.

**NOTE**: Your wheel's Firmware version appears in the top right in the Control Panel's tabs:
- T-GT Racing Wheel: V10 (for the base) and V32 (for the rim)
- T300 RS Racing Wheel: V34
- T248-PS Racing Wheel : V2
- T248-X Racing Wheel : V2
- T150 Racing Wheel: V35
- TS-XW Racer (USB): V8
- TX Racing Wheel: V58
- TMX Racing Wheel: V17
- TS-PC Racer: V13
- T500 RS Racing Wheel: V47
- TM Sim Hub: V1.12 (Main) - V1.09 (CoMCU)
- BT LED Display: V1.17 (Main) - 1.18 (Bluetooth)
- Formula Wheel Add-On Ferrari SF1000 Edition: V5.51

**IMPORTANT**:
- IF A DRIVER PACKAGE FOR YOUR PRODUCT IS ALREADY INSTALLED ON THE COMPUTER, RUNNING THE PACKAGE INSTALLATION ONCE WILL ACTUALLY UNINSTALL THE PREVIOUS VERSION.
IT WILL THEN BE NECESSARY TO RUN IT AGAIN TO PROCEED TO THE INSTALLATION OF THE NEW VERSION
- DO NOT CONNECT the racing wheel to your PC before being prompted to do so.
- DO NOT CLICK in any Windows-specific panes that may appear during the update process.
- RESTART THE COMPUTER once the package setup is complete.

Create a folder for all your Thrustmaster downloads: right-click the Windows desktop, then point to New/Folder.
- Name the folder Thrustmaster Downloads.
- Click the download link.
- A File Download dialog box appears. Click Save.
- A Save As dialog box appears. Select the Thrustmaster Downloads folder you have created and then click Save.

Installation:
1- Double-click the installation file (2022_TTRS_1.exe) to proceed with the installation.
2- Follow the instructions displayed onscreen.
3- When done, select Start/All Apps/Thrustmaster/FFB Racing Wheel/Control Panel. (Windows 10/8)
The racing wheel appears onscreen with the status indication OK
4- In the Control Panel, click Properties to configure your racing wheel:
* Test Input: Enables you to test the buttons, the D-Pad, the Wheel, the Pedals and to configure wheel Rotation Angle.
* Test Forces: Enables you to test 12 force effects.
* Gain Settings: Enables you to configure the Force Feedback.

Click on OK to save your settings and exit the Control Panel.

You are now ready to race!

Notes regarding the FERRARI F1 racing wheel:
- On PC, the Ferrari F1 racing wheel is recognized and appears onscreen under the name Thrustmaster T-GT Racing Wheel or TS-XW RACER (USB)
or TS-PC RACER or Thrustmaster T500 RS Racing Wheel, Thrustmaster TX Racing wheel, or Thrustmaster T300 RS Racing Wheel.
This is the "Normal Mode", offering 13 action buttons + D-Pad (in this mode, the D-Pads, shifters and L3/R3 buttons are combined).
In this mode, the 2 rotary encoders emulate the D-Pad's 4 main directions. They can therefore be used to alter a car's settings (engines, tires, fairing, etc.).
To use them, if required, access your game's Control options and alter them as required.
- On PC (only), the racing wheel can be configured in "Advanced Mode" to offer 25 action buttons + 1 D-Pad
(in this mode, the 2 rotary encoders, 2 D-Pads, 4 shifters and 4 L3/R3 buttons are configured individually). To do so, in the Control Panel, select the Advanced Mode option.
The racing wheel appears onscreen under the name Ferrari F1 Wheel Advanced T-GT or Ferrari F1 Wheel Advanced TS-XW Racer
or Ferrari F1 Wheel Advanced TS-PC Racer or Ferrari F1 wheel Integral T500 or Ferrari F1 wheel Advanced TX or Ferrari F1 wheel Advanced T300.

General comments:
- For most games: in the OPTIONS/CONTROLS/FORCE FEEDBACK settings, Force Feedback effects must be set to "POSITIVE = + Values" or "NON-REVERSED".

The driver pack is required on a PC to update the firmware. The firmware updates in the readme also apply to consoles.

So if the wheel is XBox, the latest firmware is advised for the best experience. With Thrustmaster you can downgrade the firmware so if you liked it better with the old firmware, you can revert. Obviously, stuff in the read me that says PC Only is a driver fix for PC, but still the latest firmware is recommended for PC AND Console.

Ping me for the relevant downgrade file if you really feel older is better.

Does this update to the wheel fix any xbox issues I'm having?

I have the TMX wheel and last years game would randomly drop the force feedback while racing. I would have to restart the wheel to get it to come back. This would happen 1-2 times per race. I use the new T-LCM pedals, but I think the force feedback drop issue happened with the old standard pedal set as well.

It's simple and a no loss method to update it and try. If you want to revert your firmware, take a note before you upgrade, older drivers allow you to downgrade.

Actually newer drivers will downgrade if the correct firmware is in the folder.
