The Hunting Chicken

★★★★ Novice

I've been trying to experiment and not concluded the mechanics of this.

If you've got a Zombie Chicken (which moves out the way when a plant is played in it's lane) but you've also got the Hunting Grounds environment (which bestows the ability to hunt on which ever zombie is played there).  If you play the Chicken in the Environment, what happens?

Schizophrenic Chicken

(I'm sure there would be some complaints about that zombie character)

It works like you would expect it would.

The Hunt is transient. Both regular chicken and Fire Rooster will move 1) if a plant is played in its lane (its ability), or 2) if a plant is played in an open lane (hunt). It’s a pretty nifty combo... but if the plant player has a plant they like, they’re always going to play it in Chicken’s lane if possible. Or they’re going to plant something in a lane that already has a zombie in it to avoid the buff.

In other words, its not really going to change how the plant player plays.

If you’re playing Stomping Grounds + Chicken though, you might as well throw in some Smoke Bombs to get the Chicken back on Grounds again.

Some other fun Grounds cards are Space Cowboy (you want to Smoke him there), Energy Drink Zombie, and Fraidy Cat.

The following deck is more “fun” than “competitive.”

It can win, though.
