Stuck underwater at start of Fortress

Hi,

I completed the whole game last month with zero bugs! But I restarted it, and I'm now up to the final planet, but I am unable to leave the starting area.

Right at the start of the Fortress Inquisitorius world, getting out of the submerged lifepod leaves me stuck underwater beneath a glass roof.

 If I reload, I just resume this stuck position. I cannot proceed and I cannot go back.

Is it possible some sort of "backup save" might move me back to a previous location?

Or is this whole run through the game ruined?

Now that I'm at the end, I sure would love to finish it!

Anyone else experience anything like this? Getting stuck with no way to continue the game?
