Steam/Origin DLC purchace

I've read up on it but I'd like to be sure.
I own SIms 4 on Steam. I'd like to take advantage of some of the sales for it on Origin. If I buy a DLC on origin, will it work on steam?

If you’re playing a Steam-native games, you can’t buy DLC for Origin.

You can only buy DLC both on Origin and Steam if you’re playing an Origin-required game.

For Origin-purchased base games, you’ll need to buy all DLC in the same client.
