Since rank up is possible.

Does this mean stats and assignments for BF3 will we be able to update the old stats?    

Or will they be new?

I understand you would need to have same ID.

As far I am aware it wont update old Battlefield stats. The stats will be for 2042. @DingoKillr

I got the impression stats for everything would be available.

Stats for BF2042 are sent back to base game, so I was trying to confirm for others.

@DingoKillr Since Portal is part of Battlefield 2042, rather than an add-on or separate entity, I'd be doubtful myself that any progress there would carry over to past titles.

Hopefully this can be clarified shortly, but it's certainly something interesting to think about.
