Star Wars squadrons vr

To play Star Wars squadron in VR on pc do I need to preorder the steam version or will the Ea origin store version also be playable in vr?

@papalasarou good question. i assume origin can use steam vr as a third party system. minecraft from microsoft store works through the oculus software so maybe origin can do the same.
