Spore GA cider_noui does not open GA

I have been following the advice on this forum to open base Spore with cider_noui to get it to run on Mac, and that has been working perfectly.

However, if I try to do the same thing with GA, it just opens the base game; there is no sign of GA and I cannot download adventures.

Customer support has been no help, I have tried reinstalling both base spore and GA multiple times and using the repair feature; nothing has worked.

Anyone who has had luck playing GA on Mac please respond.
