Yes ? Which still happen in BF2042 especially in Kaleidoscope and Hourglass.
I'm not sure where the link is with : Specialist system encourage less teamplay than old class. One of the argument being, too many specialists among them many not crucial to teamplay. So high chance to have slots "wasted" in your squad. Exemple being, MAC and SUN doesn't really bring anything crucial.
Counter argument they are done to put spawn near objective, response, no they are done to reach high-ground (and are more used as tool to camp high-ground). Plus placing spawn near objective doesn't need high-ground, easy to find hiding spot.

If you tell me that there is NOT much more people using those specs for their own benefit, than to put a spawn in strategic places for the benefit of the squad, that, is a lie.

Many people including me, already covered many times that indeed players behavior is the X variable hard to control. No one patronized how they do. We explained that one of the whole point of design and game design is to influence how players play, the X. You came and claimed that the Specialist is better than old class, we simply explained that we think no. Because its game design encourage less teamplay. And explained many times how.
However everytime you picked one detail, one argument from the whole rest. So if you wish to start call people dishonest, you might want to double check your own affirmations. We'll simply agree to disagree, it's going nowhere.
