that’s actual true just fix you servers it isn’t that hard. Or fix your terrible apps, the new app advertises faster downloads yet my download speeds are just as bad as origins

Today, I reinstalled my Origin desktop app due to download issues - trying to update Apex Legends. It's a 2-part update, a 44Gb and 14Gb update. The 44Gb downloads fine, but for some reason the 14Gb stops after a few seconds of download, so I had to pause and resume the download all the time. Anyone here experiencing similar issue?

Hey @GabMeKing this kind of error can point to something blocking Origin, can you ensure that your firewall and anti-virus are not blocking Origin and that you also have the ports for Origin open
The ports to open are:
TCP: 80; 443; 9960-9969; 1024-1124; 3216; 18000; 18120; 18060; 27900; 28910; 29900
UDP: 1024-1124; 18000; 29900
You can also try turning off the routers firewall to see if it helps.

What happens when the bug occurs? The download speed of any title from EA is about 10% of the available bandwith from my ISP.
What do you expect to see? The download run at the highest available speed.
I did several things to solve this Problem but nothing of the following worked:
-(re-)install network drivers
-delete Cache
-reinstalled EA Desktop
-run in Dev. mode
-boot windows to safe mode
-change download location (SSD, several HDDs)
-set special Firewall rules
-open recommended Ports
I have a Gigabit connection wich brings about 110Mb/sec download speed in any gamelauncher but EA D. wich is downloading with 15Mb/sec max.
My Friends have no trouble downloading at higher speeds from the same server so I know its no server issue. I am able to download a game from
another launcher in parallel with no issues at all so its no problem of my connection either.
My PC specs are:
CPU: Ryzen 3900X
GPU: RTX 2070 Super
MB: Gigabyte X570 Gaming X
RAM: 32Gb 3000mhz

I indeed mixed up Origin and EA Desktop. I'm sorry for the confusion. The Problem applys for the EA Desktop Software and Origin as well as I found out... it seems like a specific connection problem to the EA servers but as I described, I have tried everything to optimise it, from Firewall rules to opening ports (wich is usally not helpful for downloading smth.) btw. I have no special Anti Virus installed or smth. that controlls the traffic elsewhere...
So it could be a problem outside of the EA Software on my side but I honestly dont know whats causing it.

Summarize your bug Download speeds for Tropico 6 is between 5B/s to 6KB/s. Yes that Bytes per second! i have 1GB Broadband speed and my download rate averages 650MB/s so no issue with my ISP. Downloads from Steam, Uplay and Battle.net all well over 40MB/s
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Try and download a game
What happens when the bug occurs? Slow download speeds
What do you expect to see? At least 10MB/s!
Please fix this EA! Saying it will take140 hours to download a 14GB game in 2021 is outrageous
New name, new look, same great benefits: EA Access and Origin Access are now EA Play.
