Sims 3 won't launch from Origin or from game folder, no error message

Can I ask you to check if Origin is running in the background @Kitty_Kat_Rose95 and if so would you mind taking a couple of minutes to go through the following steps:

• In task manager end "Origin", "OriginWebHelperservice" and "OriginThinSetupInternal"
• Open you Origin install folder
• Delete the file "OriginThinSetupInternal'
• Right click on Origin and then select "Troubleshoot compatibility"
• Click "Try recommended settings" and then"Test the program"
• Save the settings in the compatibility troubleshooter.
• Origin will prompt you that you are using a compatibility setting. Click continue.
• Once done launch Origin

Unfortunately still no changes.

I dont know if it's worth noting, but the sims launcher appears briefly in the task manager panel and then disappears

Hey @Kitty_Kat_Rose95 seeing errors there related to AMD still, could be a driver issue and no harm reaching out to their support to see if there is an issue.

@EA_Darko should I attempt to run this from integrated graphics?

Surely that would expose any issues related to the AMD card

Hey @Kitty_Kat_Rose95 you can try running on the integrated card to see what happens though it may not tell us anything.

Your DxDiag is showing issues with AMD drivers so that would be something to look at.

@Kitty_Kat_Rose95  There's a known issue with Sims 3 right now that produces the same errors as the ones (some of them anyway) in your dxdiag.  Try reinstalling DirectX 9:

Restart your computer afterwards and before trying to play.  You don't need to use integrated graphics.
