Hi all,
Have been trying for hours to get my game to launch with no success. I have reinstalled the game, repaired so far.
When trying to launch it from the Origin library, origin disappears briefly and reappears.
When trying to launch the launcher from the sims 3 folder nothing appears to happen.
The Sims 3 exe file doesn't do anything either.
The system is running a AMD R9 380 and Intel 4790K, well above minimum specs.

@Kitty_Kat_Rose95 There's a known issue with Sims 3 right now that produces the same errors as the ones (some of them anyway) in your dxdiag. Try reinstalling DirectX 9:

Restart your computer afterwards and before trying to play. You don't need to use integrated graphics.

Hey @Kitty_Kat_Rose95 can you grab me a DxDiag so that I can take a look at your system: https://help.ea.com/en/help/pc/how-to-gather-dxdiag-information/

Hi @EA_Darko, I've attached the file.

Hey @Kitty_Kat_Rose95 see a number of errors there so the best thing to do is go ahead and run System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files:https://support.microsoft.com/en-ie/help/929833/use-the-system-file-checker-tool-to-repair-missing-o...
Can you also try the game on a new Windows admin account to see if you have the same issue?
Let us know how you get on.

After a few attempts, a new admin account and launching in safe mode, I can't seem to launch dism.exe or sfc.exe
Seems to be a bigger problem here

I've further made problems, I can't install Origin due to a a missing visual studios file after reinstalling, however the SFC tool is working, not the dism though.
Edit 1: SFC tool found no integrity problems.
Edit 2: Installed an older MVC++ and solved the missing .dll files

Hey @Kitty_Kat_Rose95 can you try installing the most up to date version of VC++ to see if it helps.
You can find the latest version on the Microsoft website: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2977003/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads
You need to install both of the following:
If you get the message that the files are already installed, select Repair instead. It is recommended to run the installer as administrator (right-click the file, select run as admin).

@EA_Darko, origin installed, however still no luck with getting Sims 3 to boot.
Origin is continuing to disappear and reappear on attempting to launch.
