Had a thought not long ago after watching the video on apex Twitter, this could be the beginning of revenant initiating plans to turn this dimension into another shadow realm. If doctor who logic is to be believed (however the logic and is really screwed up at the moment) certain events in time are fixed, cant avoid them cant change them, this could carry on to other dimensions if theyr similar enough.
Shadow revenant made himself known in his dimension before ours did so we could be following suit the the events that took place there.
Our revenant had no interest in doing what shadow revenant did, he had no motivation. However with his source code now lost he has a perfect reason to. He wont kill loba but he wants to make her suffer, while he could just kill someone she loves once but turn them into a shadow a mindless puppet of darkness with no will of it's own so that loba can just watch as revenant kill what was once her whole world over and over again would be unbearable. And his quote "and then I'll plunge you into the hell that you deserve" what would be a hell for loba but a whole world of shadows rule by him with her being the only one left.
I dunno probably a crazy lore theory.
