Seriously, what do you guys think about E-District?

Honestly, playing in a night map is so cool. I was playing r6 siege back then and night maps were always my favorite. But I cannot understand the map and POI's very well like I did with olympus/kc/we. The map totally surprises me turning every corner. Too many dead ends, too many corners and ambush points, too much verticality to sometimes play on the ground. Very open to crossfire, also lots of small obstacles and lots of chokepoints. I find it very hard to play especially in Ranked. What are your thoughts??

@mana1aju There has been several threads of people complaining about this map here and many youtube videos explaining the problems with it.

It is very graphics intensive, thus slowing down the game and lots of lag. Also, it has lots of dead space where you spend most of the game running, loot is far apart and sparse, visibility is bad, shots go through obstacles, in short it was a great idea, but very poorly executed.

It has many more issues and problems that you can find scrolling through the threads from the past few days.

@mana1ajuThe map is excellent except for a couple things-
1- As you mention most areas look very similar. This can be expected in a city map but there are ways to fix this. Add color to areas. Make areas unique with different building designs. Some areas have this but most do not. My advice for now- Use the mini map a lot to look for routes to zone.
2- There is a serious lack of loot.

@OnclePicsmurfIt has a lot of cover, but bullets going through cover has been a problem. Last night two teams were fighting on the other side of a wall (only 3 squads remaining) and some bullets went through the wall and hit us, no one even knew we were there.

In another match my teammate was hiding and using a battery while I was pushing a bloodhound, and some stray bullets meant for me wound up knocking him while in cover.  This has been a problem off and on since season 20, but it's never been as bad as it is on this map.

Already mentioned by others: frame rate issues.

Already mentioned by others: worst loot ever. I'm sure this was done purposefully in order to make the mid-game bin re-set into AN EVENT. The problem is that when you thin the loot in a game that already effectively has no sbmm then you really are not giving mid-level players any reason whatsoever to hang around for diamond and master target practice. You probably won't find the guns you want, you definitely won't find the attachments you need, and, as of three seasons ago, you don't even get a chance at a decent shield anymore. You get to hope you find some scrubs before the three stacks find you. And all for what? So that you can go into the final three in something more than your underwear? And still without a serviceable weapon? No, the balance (sbmm, loot, EVERYTHING) is so far off now that I find myself queueing into the match just to loot the edges in early-game safety, and quit before I have to move into danger because I have nothing to face danger with.

As far as layout goes, this map is too tight with tons of cover and very little in the way of open spaces where you can catch someone unawares. It's entirely focused on close-quarters, and even the much hailed verticality is useless when the ground below is so cluttered with cover that anyone and everyone can still rush your building, get to the top in half a second through an elevator shaft or a legend ability, and instantly turn the engagement into CQC. The whole thing is too uniform in terms of play style, and more than a little repetitive no matter which POI you're in. And a new map, I would have thought, represented an opportunity for the designers to re-think the center-of-map hot drop crapfest problem this game has always had. But I'm starting to believe that they don't think it's a problem at all since the only times they ever address it is to make it worse.

Exactly. I’ve been shutting the game down every time it comes up in the rotation.

It's trash. Waste of a day when it pops up in rotation. I play other games when we're stuck with it on ranked that whole day.

@mana1aju Best map in my opinion. I don't get the comments on there being "no loot" as there are numerous POIs that have a pretty rich loot pool to get yourself tooled up with.

I like it's 3D nature and that makes fights more interesting.
