Hey @polygon_wood if you purchase the game on both Origin and Steam then you would have the game on both platforms.

Hey @polygon_wood if you purchase the game on Steam then you will need to link your Origin account in order to play the game but it will not give you a copy of the game on your Origin account.

Thanks - if I already have a copy of a game (in this case, I have BF3 already in Origin) - if then buy the game again via STEAM do I retain an Origin license as well as a STEAM version?
Cheers

So let me get this straight.
You are going to pay twice.... for the exact same thing?

well, id like to play on STEAM... and relive the joy of BF3. I don't mind paying twice. I do mind if you don't end up with an origin license and a STEAM license.

Thank you the reason I asked this question is because there did seem to be some confusion about this on the STEAM forums.
Appreciate your help.

Hi darko,
Just out of interest, I purchased the STEAM version of BF3 and my Origin version has disappeared. I can no longer play the Origin version only. I also note that if you refund the STEAM version the original origin version is not returned and you end up without a copy at all...
Is this an issue identified by EA?
Cheers
