Hi EA Team,


Yesterday I had a remote attack. The antivirus showed a message telling me that my computer was infected, and I called support as instructed in the message. They asked me to do a number of things:

1. Log in to the antivirus site with my credentials

2. Download a file

3. Authorize their action on my PC

 

They told me that a scan was performed and the viruses were removed, and we ended our call after I thanked them.

I noticed that my PC was lagging so badly during games and I decided to ask an IT friend for help. I was on the phone with my friend on speaker, next to my room (the game was running), I described to him the problem related to the lag, and he told me that it might be a virus. I told him that my PC had been scanned by the antivirus support team earlier and that the threat had been removed.

He yelled at me that there is no such thing as an antivirus support team and told me to go back to the PC, I think whoever was connected to my device could hear us during our conversation, when I went back my team was deleted and my keyboard and mouse were somehow disabled.

I immediately turned off my PC and waited for my friend to come over to reinstall Windows. He told me that they were using a program to connect to my computer.

I was able to use the web application from my phone to restore 5 players that were quickly sold, could you please restore the rest of them to my account?

Hi @EA_Barry,

I did that and i was told that nothing can be done as there is no procedure that they can follow for what happened to me...

Any chance you can get me in touch with someone that could take some action please?
