I haven't played in awhile. Maybe 30 minutes in the past two weeks. It is a shame because the game just isn't that good. I understand some people like it, but it is obvious now that a majority do not like the game in its current state. I'm cautiously optimistic it can be improved, but very much disappointed in the launch product, bugs aside.

I'm most disappointed with EA/Dice's tone deaf communications. I don't think fans care to see some concept art surrounding a stale and under developed world on Twitter. Especially when the core experience is missing the mark for so many.

I also would love for them to stop referring to BF players as Non-Pats or No-Pats. I'm a BF Fan. I like Battlefield games and that is why spend useless time on this forum sometimes. I'm not here because I fell in love with 2042's theme, I'm here because I fell in love with several of their awesome games. 2042 is not one of those games, currently.

Part of that is because EA/Dice went all in on developing and marketing No-Pats instead of developing and  marketing a BF game. The reason why is clear to me. Specialists will provide microtransaction dollars for EA and behind every specialist is a paying customer. The dramatic drop in player numbers likely is changing their plans and is reason why they haven't said a word yet this year. They are figuring out what to do. I just hope 2042 becomes one of my favorites at some point this year. They have a mountain to climb.

@BretAshton I agree with you. I've moved onto Halo Infinite. This November I'll be moving on to Starfield

@CofranOPC you could see something good going on with BF4 even in the beginning but this steaming pile of a offering not so much really.

BF1 was the last decent BF game for me, however BF3/BF4 and especially BFBC2 were better.

It's been going down hill for years for BF series. BFV was a disaster.

It's still possible to save 2042 tho, it has potential, still. Just needs more fixing, more (official) modes and content overall + battle pass. RUSH and TDM should be a stable in every BF game.

@CofranOPC The thing is, they should've learned from it.

Totally agree with you, specially if it has been decades (literally) from these mistakes...
Steve Jobs once said, that the Tech companies were being lead not from tech people but from marketing and the sales people, and the consequences of this is that the companies no longer make good products, they just care to sell that product no matter if it is a piece of garbage (He was reffering to the new iPhones... but same applies here)

EA just want to sell the game and they no longer care about if it is a good game or not...

@emerson1975 Incorrect. Supposedly, the game as it is now was only in development for 15 months. It started out as something else and then was changed. At least that is what was leaked.

But they should've gave people an official statement if they cared about the community a bit.

As it is now, it's just like they aren't even acknowledging the mass exodus and discontent with the state of the game.

All the warranted and unwarranted complaints asside, it's bleeding out and they don't seemed bothered by it. They just ignore it.

EA is about making money and not caring about the players.  They now speak to a higher power, the Stock Market.

The leadership of EA is a joke and they should all be fired.
