Purpose of character skins?

What actually is the point in character skins? 

This is a first person shooter, you never see your character. 

The only skins that really matter in this game are the season skins. 

 Seriously, what's the point in character skins in this game?

Not wrong, but they won't stop making skins. I'm shocked they haven't made more skins by now since most of them are just recolors- but the timing is questionable with all these present issues.

To answer your question- to show your skin to your teammates/friends/opponents in the match and have a new skin. But what you mentioned is the reason why I usually prefer a nice new gun skin.

You don't really look at your own clothes in real life either, though. Well, perhaps some do. They're possibly the same ones who like customising their characters.

@warslag, I totally look at my clothes while I wear them but don't really care for character skins.

@tonycawley69, basically to show off to teammates, friends and enemies or to get an advantage/disadvantage in the game

What is the point of any cosmetic in any game that doesn't add any advantage? This is such a boring and repeated question in almost every forum that has any type of cosmetics. People like what they like, maybe they just like to stand out and be a little different than every character looking the same. If you don't see any use in it, don't purchase one. But you should be happy there are people willing to pay for cosmetics or you would have had to purchase it.

What's points of character skins?

- To let people buy them. And it worked. Alot of players bought them.

- As long as there is demand, Respawn will supply. In fact, demand for new legendary skins is high now.

The purpose is to flex your massive banner, and looking badass from the point of view of the players you eliminate.

Also wraith looks pretty lit with void specialist.

Some skins do blend well with the environment, like certain Titan fall 2 character skin made you invincible to the digital threat.

Also COD,Doom, Battle field and etc has Character skin's, so what is the point it's a FPS game too.  

It give you something to customize, achieve and look unique during the game. Also it gives the enemy something to look at while your shooting them.

I don't understand the point of the thread that is trying to be made ?
