Purchasing DLC for Origin-bought games through Steam

Good evening everyone. I know there's currently no way to enable Origin-bought games through Steam, and from the topics I've skimmed there doesn't seem to be a plan to incorporate that option in the near future. What I wanted to ask, though, was:

What about buying DLC on Steam for a game bought through Origin? Would that be possible? There's some downloadable content that I'd like to purchase for a couple of my old Origin games, but doing so through Steam would be several times easier, since from where I live, steam offers at least some ease of access and purchase options that Origin markedly doesn't have. The thing is, I wouldn't want to be stuck having to buy the game AGAIN through Steam just to be able to complete the DLC...

Any more or less official or certain answer would be much appreciated.

Hey @Elvalley just to update this but if you own the game on Steam then you can purchase the DLC for the game on either Steam or Origin and it will work with your Steam game.

If you own the game on Origin then you can only buy the DLC for it on Origin, if you purchase the DLC on Steam then it will not work with your Origin game.

@EA_Darko Hi EA_Darko, I just bought Dragon Age: Origins on steam, and bought the DLC bundle on Origin. somehow Dragon Age: Origins isn't acknowledging I have the DLC? Can you help me with this issue?

Hey! I just want to make sure before buying anything. I have the base game in Origin and some dlc too. If I buy the base game again in Steam, would I be able to play the dlc that I already got on Origin?

Hey @danileal97 if you have the DLC on Origin and buy the game on Steam then as long as the accounts are linked you should be good to go.
