Is Origin Points finally can be useful in the new app? Or still be nothing as it is?
Isn't it will be fair to make from OP in-game purchases or at least visual stuff for the new app\profile...? There must be at least something to deal with these useless points.
Thanks

Sorry to disappoint. It just wasn't meant to be..
On the plus side, we'll introduce other cool features with EA Desktop. I hope you get to try it soon!

Hey @Straatford87 and @Iipaaal
I've been around since Origin beta started and I really like the point system. You would do in-game challenges to unlock points to show off to your friends that you were a really hard core gamer. It's unfortunate that those points would just sit there.
When I heard about EA Desktop, I was super excited and the first thing I did was to see what I could do with my points but was very much let down when it was removed completely.
I really like how Ubisoft use their point system in their uPlay client. They allow you to use those points for in-game items like gun skins, XP, downloadable content like wallpapers and game soundtracks. It is very satisfying knowing your hard work gets you something in return.
I still believe that EA Desktop should do something like this. It would be a missed opportunity. I submitted this in the feedback so all I can do is hope.
Cheers,
Beauzinga

Hey there @Straatford87,
The thing I miss most about BioWare Points is being able to do stuff with them. Back in the day they were the only way that I was able to buy DLC for Mass Effect 2, and I still have over 1,000 point left over after buying all the DLC that was available.
regards,
Doug
