Got abused by a random TM yesterday for using ordnance. Basically, he said:

  • Ordnance is for cowards, real men use iron sights ... er, weapons
  • Ordnance is useless
  • Ordnance takes up too much backpack spare

All this puzzled me as usually I throw ordance before I engage. There's little in AP to match hitting someone with thermite, watching those numbers tick up then hearing the crack of a shield. Hardly a session goes by without me getting an ordnance elimintation.

I do notice that around 90% of randoms I play with never use ordnance.

So, what are everyone's thoughts on ordnance?

Oh, and annoyingly, two games after this random encounter I knocked a Crypto with a grenade Standard smile

@EdwardDLuffy I love using nades. They are helpful for distraction and blowing a door off that someone is blocking and hiding. Also as you said damaging someone when approaching is helpful. Also when two teams are fighting is is a sneaky way to 3rd party.

The guy you were with probably dies to them a lot and carries way to much ammo or other items he doesnt need or he just stinks at throwing them.

@EdwardDLuffy  real men run into a 1v3 with a Mozambique and no armor and die instantly. In this context, "real men" means "donkeys" (EDIT: maybe this word won't get censored, LOL) :D

Nades are awesome, especially if you down multiple people at once or your blind guess nade eliminates some level 500 sweat whom you didn't even see Standard smile

I've had my share of fun with them, like here where I was outmatched and outgunned, but had some arc stars ready:

I've had another good moment where I threw a drive by arc into a recently respawned guy from a zipline. Wasn't his day, I guess :D

EDIT: If he's worried about backpack space then he can use a sweaty loadout like Wingman/Shotgun ...then there's plenty of room left for other stuff.

@EdwardDLuffy

Nades are great for initial damage, breaking doors or forcing Opponents to move out of cover for kill shots.

if you are a fuse main nades are even more your friend because yo can carry more and have a great launch system for them.

I always trie to have at least one or two sometimes more on me.

Incendiary nades are great for dropping on downed opponents so you can let them burn and die as you forget them and look for their teamates.

@Skeleton84CZ

Ordinance  Is a term that covers all types of explosives and munitions.

frag grenades are grenades.

arc stars are well arc stars not grenades.

Thermite grenades are grenades.

they are all ordinance though.

How you all manage your nades (for non Fuse legends)?

I usually just go 1 nade for a white bag, 2 for blue and 3 for purple.
