Online is useless now !

After playing a lot of Payback,i returned to 2015/16 on my PC to have a comparison but soon i realized how the game`s online features are dead.
By that i mean,i can barely see anyone at Alldrive and the snapshots "like for rep" feature is dead,also the daily challenges are too repetitive !
When the game got released we were promised,as an excuse for the game being always online that it will be alive and a great expericence.
But,after the PC version got delayed for 2016,instead of the game`s original release date in November of 2015,the game was already empty.
Now that Payback is on the plate and we are awaiting the next title,the reboot is fading.
The only way for that game to be filled again is to add something to spice things up or something else.
That is exactly the reason why i hate always online oriented games.
So,EA...was all of that worth it ? I have the game for over 2 years now and i dont really feel that it will be replayable any time soon.
