ORIGIN WILL NOT FIND FRIEND WHO IS USING EA PLAY [ Edited ]

Is there an issue between players using Origin and players using EA Play? I use Origin. I cannot find a particular friend who is using EA Play. Similarly, that friend cannot locate me. Is there an issue between the two platforms that separates players?

I use PC and he uses XBox

Also, we live only about 1 kilometre apart

I access my game through Origin and he accesses his game through EA Play

Hey @neuroticchook are you playing in-game with each other?

If you are on PC and your friend is on console then you will not be able to search for their console Gamertag and add them in Origin.

That is pretty poor on EA's account. The next one better have the ability otherwise there will be two games here who will not bother buying something that we cannot join each other.
