Read an article today and want some opinions on what you think. I really think it sums up the series well.

@sk1lldHonestly, no offense, I could care less about anyone else's opinion on the update, especially from one hour of gameplay testing.

This is definitely something we all will have to test out and probably won't know for a few weeks if it is better or worse, by Specialist, by class, by vehicle and aircraft.

My main concerns have been more specific, like with just Boris and Crawford having access to M5/FXAA how are they balancing vehicles/aircraft? What is Rao's role now? How useful is Angel's crate? Is Irish OP now with revives?

What has not changed is my ability to jump into the map I want unless they have it on 24/7 mode for a week. What if all I want to do is play Exposure on BT, why can't I do that?

I remember the initial reviews of Star Wars weren't great.

@Adamonic

The aircraft counter is what worries me. Also, with the new classes being able to use any weapon doesn't really make them classes IMHO.

I will wait and see but find the change lacks substance.

@sk1lldLike who is this guy that wrote the article? How much time has he spent playing? While most FPS type YouTubers are pretty annoying, I'd much rather hear their opinion on a game if they have spent as much time as I have playing it. Otherwise, there's no chance they could understand the nuances of the game play and balancing issues.

I only really pay attention to reviews of games that I don't really intend to play for entertainment only. If it seems like a decent game, I'll read a couple negative and positive reviews on Steam, and then check SteamCharts just to make sure the game isn't completely dead.

Most of these game journalist are chasing clicks like everyone else.

@sk1lld So who is this person and why should I care? We're all playing the game here, and we all know better.

Some no-name journy whos going after likes and clicks has 0 authority to speak about this game.

Battlefield games have and will always be extremely complex. Its impossible to have a compitent opinion about a Battlefield game without playing it for 30-40 hours first.

And patch such as 3.2 will require at least one week of live testing to settle in on the overal balance and possible exploits.

The article itself is a whole load of nonsense and empty words that mean nothing.

The annoying part is that after reading 90% of it, the author is like "Yeah I've only had an hour or so to test it out, but I'm telling you, it's not that good."

Like seriously? Couldn't you say that in the beginning so that I know you're full of ****.

@sk1lld point me in the direction of a single honest positive review by anyone with integrity xD

@X-Sunslayer-X Honestly I always felt good about the reviews and opinions of the current (or at least former/original) staff at giant bomb. Jeff Gerstmann has been in the industry for almost 30 years and I've never doubted his professionalism. May disagree here and there (as one would expect).

@X-Sunslayer-X

You won't find a single review that isn't tainted in some way or another. Even the influencers are paid to do reviews, by receiving free games, free content, play tests or views.

The guy seemed to know what class systems are. So, I can assume he has played past BF games.

And to me this new system seems a bit little and a bit late.

@sk1lld There’s plenty of non paid reviews and thoughts from content creators, and I’m not just talking about the smaller channels either. They have to disclose being paid any amount legally when giving a review I believe.

I think with the class system there’s no way to really know until we’ve had a chance to play it. On paper I don’t really like it, but if it helps with balancing then it could be worth it.
