No changes to Mozambique and P2

★ Guide

If you read the new balance notes for season 1, you'd have noticed that the Mozambique and P2 have not been buffed.

They have their reasons, and you can read the balance notes to see them. But basically they didn't buff them because memes and power curve. They want some weapons to be better than others, which i sorta get.

My problem is some weapons are just plain uselss compared to others with or without being fully kitted. Mozambique, P2, Flatline compared to R301 are a few examples, there are just better weapons that are in the same category. Every other shotgun is better than the Mozambique, every other pistol is better than the P2, and every other AR is better than the flatline.

In not saying just saying flat out buff these guns, but they do all have one thing in common. Lack of attachments, the Mozambique and P2 have 2 attachments one being a sight, and Flatline has no barrel attachment, unlike every other AR.

I think a great start would just be to have more attachments for these guns, maybe a Choke or Skullpeicer for the Mozambique and P2 and a barrel for the Flatline.

Get creative with it maybe an attachment that increases number of pellets for only the Mozambique, or full auto for only the P2. These kinds of changes.

All in all the balance notes are overall good, I like em.

Perhaps the nerfs to the Wingman will make the Mozambique more viable for many players?

Yea, guns like the Flatline and Alternator are throw away. It's kinda the opposite to TF2 where they were high damage strong weapons. I think I'm more upset at those two being poor as they were my favourite guns in Titanfall.

You still don't seem to understand what intentionally bad means. Mozambique and p2020 are *supposed* to be the worst weapons in the game. Their only goal is to be better than bare hands, which they are.

Same goes for flatline and alternator - they're middle tier weapons, alternator is basically placeholden for r99, flatline - for spitfire or hemlock. Although it's not even fair to compare flatline to alternator, it's actually pretty good weapon and not that much worse than spitfire.

all I know is, there's a whole lot of headroom to buff the Mozambique while still maintaining the memes. I'm not a fan of weapons that can't be viable or not be upgraded to be viable. maybe what the Mozambique needs is more slots and a hop up. I suggest universal ammo use with different ammos types imbueing different effects. shooting energy ammo out of a Mozambique causeing a very short stun. heavy rounds does more damage and light ammo gives extra 2 shots before reloading. something fun.

i see a problem with nerfing the rate of guns in the different areas. it will make the game more unbalanced since the one finding them so called OP guns will prob by default win the fight

Imho it's a waste of resources to implement weapons that are instantly replaced because anything but bare hands is better. The situations in which you are forced to use the p2020 or the mozambique are really rare in the first place.

You seem to be misunderstanding intentionally bad and intentionally uselss. There is no reason to pick these guns up, it's better to use punches with the movement of the game and small hitbox charatcers to down someone in the start.

These guns are useless and even if they gave them a few more attachments to put on the guns, they would still be the worst in the game.

Honestly making guns intentionally bad is just a bad idea. Why bother making them in the first place? Just delete them and have the next teir up be the worst.

Mid to late game is just going to be the same 2 guns, so why even add any other guns to the game? They'd just be useless after the first minute anyway.

Every gun should be viable fully kitted. If the devs want only 2 guns in the entire game to be viable, they can go ahead and do it, but I can't think of a single player that would think that's fun to play.

I don't know what else they can tell you to be honest. You don't have to like every gun. That just isn't the point.

If someone wrote a novel where nothing bad ever happened, it just wouldn't be very interesting. If you had a casino where you could never lose, you wouldn't have much of a casino.

Since this isn't a singleplayer game it can't spend all of its time spoonfeeding us with instant gratification. Your misfortune is someone else's fortune and the same applies in the reverse.

The game isn't all about the looting but if you had a meaningful chance of standing toe to toe with someone who spent a little more time looting (and was of similar skill), they may as well just let you pick your loadout before you leave the drop ship.

Then there's the other glaring point that nobody seems to mention. You're never truly in a 1v1 situation at the start of a match. If you have not one but two or three P2020's/Mozambiques laying into the same enemy and it still isn't enough, either your team needs to sharpen their aim or you probably made a bad choice earlier and it's come back to bite you.
