No Upgrade Option from Standard in Origin

Hi,

Received Battlefield 2042 Standard Edition as a promotional code after buying WD_Black M2 SSD Battlefield 2042 Edition.

There's no way for me to upgrade from Standard to Ultimate on Origin. I have to pay the full price of EUR 110.

Any help on what to do in this case? Thanks.

You could consider gifting or reselling the product code you do not want?

Hey @THISaint We've not had any confirmation about there being an upgrade path so far, but I'd imagine that there will be something after launch like with the past games. Sorry I couldn't deliver better news to you.

@THISaint Yeah… in that case, maybe consider EA Play Pro for the Ultimate Edition and fallback to the Standard Edition when ready or when an upgrade option comes available?

@THISaintWhile playing BFV yesterday someone mentioned getting the EA pass and that you could just have it for a month and keep the upgrades in game. Apparently it works like that in a few games like Fifa. I haven’t done this myself, but maybe worth a shot.

The other option is contacting customer support on Origin and see if the could manually do that. They helped me out in a very similar situation, although that was around when BF4 was released.

The main difference is the year one season pass? Maybe you can just buy that when it’s available.
