NBA Live Mobile Pack Probabilities Update

We want you to have the best experience with our game, so we want to share more information with you that will be helpful as you make choices while you play. With the launch of the new season of NBA LIVE Mobile, that includes displaying Pack probabilities, which will detail the likelihood of what you will get in the Packs you purchase.

In the NBA LIVE Mobile marketplace, you will now be able to see the Pack probabilities for most Packs by tapping on them. There, you’ll see the Pack probabilities grouped by OVR and rarity. Because there are a number of unique Items found from one Pack to the next, we’ve grouped Items into categories. Oftentimes, Packs that advertise specific promotions will include probabilities for promotional categories.

Our Pack probabilities in NBA LIVE Mobile are built to ensure that you will always have a guaranteed return for any Pack purchase. This means that any category listed at 100% will always result in an Item from that category being awarded to you. Every Pack description in the NBA LIVE Mobile marketplace also lists how many Items you’ll receive in total.

The probabilities are on a Pack by Pack basis and are not cumulative. That means that each Pack opening is an independent event, and opening multiple of the same pack does not change the likelihood of being awarded an Item.

Pack probabilities in NBA LIVE Mobile are calculated mathematically. Probabilities are then validated by simulating the opening of a very large number of packs. The number of packs opened in a simulation varies based on item rarity, but it will always be enough to be statistically valid.

NBA LIVE Mobile is a live-service game that is constantly evolving, Packs included. From time to time, we may issue new Packs, especially alongside new Programs and into the offseason. These packs may have altered probabilities compared to previously-issued Packs. You will always have the option to check a Pack for the latest probabilities before you buy it by tapping on it.

Making this change was important to us so we can continue to be transparent with you. We want to give you more information to help you decide how you play our game, what you play and what you invest in. We value player choice and remain committed to ensuring that NBA LIVE Mobile is rewarding and fun for everyone.

Nice, but the probabilities you are offering are super low compared to the price of the packs (5% for a pack of 200 bills). Should be at least 30-50%.

How about the primary probability of a pack being based on the individual, but if you haven't opened an elite pack after X attempts it defaults to cumulative? It seems to me that the probability of these packs is highly inaccurate unless you open an insane amount of packs.

This is an old post and I'll have it locked at the earliest. It's a request for you to start a new thread for us to look into the matter.
