Mod support

I'm really excited that we're finally getting a good singleplayer only star wars game.

But are the devs also planning on releasing mod tools with or after the game's launch?

It's not been since the good old days of lucasarts that star wars games were released with full mod support.

Mods are what keeps a game fresh and supports the players for many years.

So please guys, give us mod tools (or at the very least a map editor) for this great game!

At this point we don't have any information about dedicated mods support for this game, but since we're talking about a single-player game, it's not something that we're going to prevent as well

The Jedi Knight modding made the game survive so many years and there was seriously great content that was made.

If they do add it, hopefully some of it can make its way to sharing mods for console versions as well.

Yes, and they basically just released the tools the devs used themselves together with some basic info.

Since this game is based on UE4 I imagine that they use the unreal sdk with some custom plugins and some exporters for 3d modeling.

Hopefully they'll release them to the community even if it's post release.
