In BF1, if you were on fire from fire, whatever the source may be, and you jumped into the river or a significant water source, the water wouldn't douse the fire from you immediately. It may act similarly to proning when you "stop, drop, and roll". But, realistically, it should put the fire out. I hope that this will be the case in BFV.
