Installing Spore on a Mac

My son recently purchased the disc version of Spore from ebay. We are having trouble installing it on our Mac. It prompts a download of the patch 3.7, but then states some files have been modified and it needs reinstalling. This happens over and over. Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling it to no avail. Also tried logging in via Origin but it says the authorization code has already been redeemed. Any tips?

@adnt1996 You should contact EA help about that. They can get the code transferred to your Origin account for you
