Important Question about rank league

Anyone know how the reward system works? 

If one make to predator top 500 but does not maintain this position and end up in master. Does one get rewarded for highest rank reached? Or for what ever rank while split end?

Yes make it to Top 500 Predator and maintain it.

Even the last day of the split you might lose your position even the last hour/minute... so it's always better to go for a higher position.

It doesn't matter if you reach Top 500 Predator.
You have to maintain your position.
If Split ends and you are Master then highest rank achieved is Master.

Ranked rewards will be granted for the highest tier achieved in either split of the series, but exclusive animated badges will be granted if you can make it to the same tier both splits.

So it make more sense to grind late this way if you reach top 500 by the end you are more likely to stay there.
