I just bought a next gen Xbox. Do I need to buy BF 2042 again?

Just found the new Xbox (after months of not being able to even find it anywhere), and now I can only play the Xbox One version of BF 2042. Do I have to buy the gam e again to get the next gen version? Other questions answered on this website indicate that ALL versions of the game include the "next-gen bundle," but I can't seem to find that working out for me IRL. Please help!

i mean i think there was a corss-gen bundle but i have no clue other then that

Yes I'm sure I want to play. I bought the game... I'd like to play. I just don't want to spend another $70 on it after having bought it already.

@steevscool Pretty sure EA/DICE run the "double dip program" and will make you buy another copy.

@steevscool How is the Series S/X version of the game appearing in the Xbox store for you?

@ElliotLH Pick a used copy at Gamestop for less than $20. That's what I did, but MAKE SURE it's the Series X version.

@AnonTomv3 I got the Ultimate Edition digitally at launch so I'm all set. I was asking OP how it's appearing as they might just need to download the S/X version.

Xbox Series games cost $10 more than Xbox One games due to the next-gen tax. That's why you can't download the Xbox Series version with the Xbox One version.

Otherwise everyone would just buy the Xbox One version for $10 cheaper and then download the Xbox Series version.
