How is everyone else doing in matches this week?

The reason I'm asking is this whole week I've never seen it this bad.  Tonight 50 damage was the highest I could get, one match I emptied an L Star into a player before they could shoot me once, and it registered no damage, but did hit the player since it made the sound. 

The Randoms with me have the same issues with emptying multiple clips and not getting any damage.  Yet, we all get taken out with one hit.

My question is, is the game's hit reg not working or am I always getting cheater lobbies?  I know it isn't my internet since other fps games run fine and I get multiple kills no problem in those, so I know it is either the players manipulating the game or the game's servers are having issues.  I play on the Oregon servers, so are those having performance issues for anyone else?

Also, how is everyone else doing in matches this week?  Something just feels off.  I know I've complained ad nauseum about these issues, but it's different this time.  Before you'd encounter these things maybe in like a third of your matches in a night, but now every match I can't get my hits to register at all, whether mixtape, pubs, or ranked.

If anyone has any input from this week I'd appreciate it.  I don't play as much as I used to since the issues this season starred, but I do play for an hour or two each night to keep my practice up.

For me all is well, getting good dmg, a few kills here and there and wining a few matches as well. Playing trios pubs and or quad pubs, full stacked mostly.

@Asmodeus566And you are on MnK, I wonder when I am good enough to go into full matches with MnK if I'll get better hit reg, especially since I find MnK easier to shoot with. My biggest hangup right now is movement and healing with MnK, I think with more practice I can get it. Full stacks probably make a difference too.

I think you can get there, the game is not at all easy, very steep learning curve.

Two three or four stacking in their respective modes duos, trios quads does help.

I've been observing a lot of smurfs lately. They're aggravating, but it's the developer collusion that I really object to.

Then I did something I haven't done in a while. Last night I entered a lobby with a friend. That was a reminder of how easy I really have it in my solo lobbies. I might complain about the incompetent randoms I get teamed with, but that is nothing compared to the enemies we faced as a two stack. I expect tougher enemies when stacked, but this was off the chart. Couldn't tell if they were just good or cheaters - always the problem in games with bad matchmaking. They ran toward enemies without hesitation and fired whatever gun they had as if it was a one-shot-one-kill weapon. Because it was.

I can understand the logic behind the harder lobby when stacked, but the logic has two flaws. First, a lot of friends just like to play together and until they've done so for hundreds of matches you might not see any appreciable synergy that results in better team performance. Second, because the algorithm provides brutal matches (instead of just "harder" matches) it will, I'm sure, have the net effect of either discouraging friends from playing together (bad for fun, bad for retention) or driving them out of the game completely to go find a game they can play together without being punished. And I don't use the word "punished" lightly. That was what it was. Swing and miss, Respawn. Do better.

@AymCTL I've got cells and batts mapped to mouse keys and use 4 (Use Last Item) for syringes/kits. Tactical and Ultimate are also mapped to mouse keys. That way you can easily move and hit shields/health quickly at the same time. Don't have to take your left hand off WASD that way.

@AymCTLI was having a really bad time last week, this week has been much better. I got a rage hack on my squad yesterday. They got something like 26 kills with 7k dmg! People are still cheating, not sure how long that guy lasted though. Saw them next match too.

The hit reg is just all over the place. Some rounds I can't miss, and I'm usually picking up the same weapons. I tend to be a very consistent player in most FPS games, so I feel like I shouldn't be going from 3k damage to struggling to get 200 in the same ranking.

However, this week has been mostly different. I'm winning pretty consistently, getting kills, and doing damage. Last week was just rage inducing.

I use my '3' key to open the healing dial, and then select from there. The wheel is only up for a fraction of a second, and then swipe to what I need. My mentality for keybindings is that the important keys should be easy to reach with comfort, and without having to stop strafing. Less important keys can be everything else. Also, limit the amount of keys you use. Use the dials in Apex, it's a very nice thing that reduces clutter and excessive key binds.

@AymCTLNo issues here. Won a couple decent damage games in the ltm tonight. After which I was given level 50 and less players who didn't have a clue what to do. Normal.

You hit the nail bang on here. I have had a random teammate once that worked well with me, we shared loot, didn't have mics but worked well with the ping system. We shared health and shields. We didn't do well but this person was a good teammate for a random. He sent me an invite right after, and as badly as I wanted to squad up with him and play more... I didn't. I know that even though this player is a random and this was the first match I've ever played with them - I knew that if I paired up with him, we would have been punished completely. 

So the way the system is, prevents me from even making new friends to play with. What's the point. 

And this is a team game! just silly.

@WhoopFighterHaven't played this week. But the few weeks before were horrible. The skill gap between me and my random teammates and our enemies got so ridiculous I just couldn't do it anymore. I stopped playing Apex and did other stuff.
