Hey everyone!
As you may or may not be able to tell by my stupid question, I am new to Origin, coming over from Steam. But that's not important to the topic.
I'm looking to purchase a certain game but I wish to try it out first. I've discovered Origin's demo/trial system, and I just want to know exactly how it works. I understand you have a time limit as to how long you are able to play the game. When does this time start counting down? As soon as you finish downloading the game? Does it continuously count down from there, regardless of whether you're playing the game or not?
I'm not very good at explaining, so I'll provide an example. Let's say I've got a game demo that is valid for 5 hours. Does the 5 hours start when I launch the game? Let's say I play for an hour, then I get off. When I come back the next day, will I still have 4 hours left on my demo to play? Or will I have used up my remaining 4 hours from when I wasn't playing the game? Is there a timer that actively counts down during the game or something like that?
All help will be appreciated. Thanks so much!

Generally, a timed game trial starts counting down when you launch the game and only counts actual play time. Check the following links for more info on our free games/trials and demos:
