You can't, plain and simple. You can't encgourage a timid player to fight nor engourage an agreesive player to hold back when they want to push. Believe me I have tried. I can't tell you how many times I have seen my 2 squad mates rush into a situation and die in seconds, them ping like mad for me to come get them. I try, but most times die. Same with playing it safe. So many times we have lasted to the last 2/3 squads and my team wants to hang back and hide, I say "come on let's go, lets find them", ping "let's go there", nope, they won't move. Only to get rushed and killed because we got flanked and shot from multiple angles or were hiding on a cliff side with no escape. (I really don't get that one)
Re: Fight of Flight
For me it depends. If I am jump master and someone pings Skull Town or the "Blue Light" I know they want to jump in to the mix and if the other player agrees then we go. My standpoint is that's OK if we are not in Ranked cause it gives me the chance to practice up. You can't better if all you do is hide.
If someone says "Hey, lets go for the win" then great, we go somewhere away from the frey, loot up and play smart. Especially in Ranked.
I usually only play ranked when I can get at least one friend in my squad. Hopefully one better than me,

I usually ask everyone if they're ready to fight once I'm fully geared up. If they're rocking level 1 armor I'm hoping they try to avoid fights unless they have to until they get level 2+ armor first. If one player goes off the rails to fight another team I'll back them up though hoping for the best.

@BiochemikasOkay this I get. I didn’t read properly. Uneccessary fights I don’t get into as well. So the one you mentioned, fighting near storm, yea that’s just stoopid (yup double O), even better is cursing the storm afterwards.
But if I see a team looting a building and we’re well equipped, you better believe I’m targetting them. If my teammates don’t go, I’ll follow them, but they should know that if they fight an uphill battle or a battle with an uncertain outcome, I’m leaving them.
2 days ago we were on those rock formation near slumps. Other team approaching... one teammate (with $£¥%#@ white armor) charges towards 3 guys... dies instantly of course, other starts shooting from that rock formation... gets melted as well. I unmuted mic and said: ‘really? We had the upper hand and you people just did that? Are you that stupid? Wow’. Left match so that the other team won.

This topic lol
There is no right or wrong way to play this (or any other BR) game. Your teammates set the mood for how squad will play. If two out of three people don't want to fight, then you are the minority, and you are the one who creates a problem by engaging in fights that nobody else wants. Find and play with aggressive friends, and stop complaining about randos, because randos will suck 99% of the time in any game. It's like universal gaming law.
Also don't forget to thank Respawn for not including a solo mode, where you could have just relaxed and without worrying about anyone else but yourself. Maybe someday they will come around, hopefully when it won't be too late for the game heh

I find that most people Regardless of what happens will yell out "HE'S ONE SHOT!!"

Because most people play for fun, and fighting is fun. I just go on My own if i get into a team that is just gonna loot and avoid conflicts for 20 min.

If you are playing just for fighting, you might wanna consider playing a regular game with standard death-match, where you respawn (like Titanfall 2). Because while fighting is fun, in BR a lot of people want to actually win, and they will try to do it any way they can.
Also it's annoying af to have a teammate break off to go fight alone, just to get destroyed by a full squad couple minutes later.
But again, if you are playing with randos, it's the majority who will decide how squad will play. So like there is no bases to complain that not everyone plays like you.
