How do I play the Sims 4 offline with the EA app?

Hey, we had a hurricane here and lost power for a day and internet for longer. Please, do tell me how I was supposed to put the EA app into offline mode when it wouldn't even load because *checks notes* several century-old trees were littering our street. I'd love an answer! Currently, there seems to be an amazing Catch 22 going on where I need to sign in to go offline. Excellent work, EA, and great job consistently replying to your consumers.

So my computer crashed and the network adapter has gone. 

Absolutely no way to play now. 🤬

@politieke Hey guys, I'm not sure if anyone is still having this problem, but when my internet went out and the EA App wouldn't let me launch Sims 4 after trying multiple times, I closed the app, then completely turned off my wifi from my pc, then reopened the EA App and it somehow realized I really had zero Internet and gave me my list of games I could still play while offline - that of which being the Sims 4. Hope this helps, as it just helped me out of my frustration! 🥲

I also am experiencing this issue and ALWAYS have. If my internet is down there is no way to acess the EA App to go offline. It will try to load, then I get a message that says 'Temporarily lost connection- you're currently offline. Check your internet connection while we try to reconnect you (this may take a moment)'...

Please fix this.

Hello my reply is super late being that im in this predicament my internet is off until tomorrow. But I noticed I couldnt even load the ea app. My internet is off so I went ahead and turned off the wifi option on my pc since it isnt working and tried to launch the game now without it searching for connection and the sims popped up on the ea app with a play button and now I am playing the game without internet. Just turn off the internet option on your pc so its not searching for a connection.

You can’t open the EA app without an internet connection. If so can you please explain how to open the app when you have no no internet no connection.

It's disrespectful to us because we spend a lot of money to get all the packages and due to a lack of internet we can't play.
