The day/night does not change while you are driving. the time of day is static. If you are driving in day time for hours, it will still be day it will never transition to night. You have to do it manually in the garage.

@anti-loser1 I miss dynamic time of day. Would be great if in a future release the time of day changed dynamically and as it got later, the cops became more agressive.
