Hero Ship Tier List (Feb/2021) [ Edited ]

Hello there! 

I made a Hero Ship Tier List. I hope you enjoy it. 

(This list is for star fighter assault mode.

 Some explanation of my thoughts are added.)

This is after the last update edition.

Any suggestions are welcomed and appreciated.

-S rank

Poe's Black One: He has the good stats, good abilities. More than that he has the BP glitch.
He can get BP like as he is the normal starfighter.
So even if the enemy could take him down, he will be back really soon.
Until the end of game, he is repeatedly there.
(This is the reason I give him S tier.)

-A rank

Boba's Slave1: Overall good stats, massive HP and good mobility.
The main weapon damage is decent.
And the Seizmic Charge ability is really good.
(You can take down many enemies with this single bomb.)
ION cannon is another good ability for stun the enemy.

Yoda's Jedi Fighter: High Mobility and Good CQC Damage output.
ION pulse can stun many enemies at once.
He can also destroy enemy hero ships.

-B rank

Maul's Scimitar: Highest DPS and good mobility, high HP.
The Cloaking ability is very good for assasinating the enemy.
Especially, their hero ship.
He was hugely nerfed and now he cannot regenerate HP while cloaking.
But he was still really good. (Before that, he was above A rank.)

Kylo's TIE silencer; Overall good stas.
HP/Mobility/Damage output, all of them are good.
Powerful Missiles are also notable.

Han's Falcon: He has great firepower so he is a good objective attacker.
He has beefy HP. But because of the less mobility,
Enemies are eagerly/easily chasing you.

Lando's Falcon: A minor variation of Han's falcon.
Less HP but More mobility.
(With Coaxium Injection, he is the fastest ship.)
The Fire power is almost the same.

-C rank

Vader's TIE advanced: High Mobility but tiny HP.
Unfortunately, his main weapon's firepower is not so high.
Still you can keep shooting the enemy with 2 stacked barrage.

Iden's TIE fighter: She has 4 abilities and the BP glitch.
But the low HP and less survivability make her not so good.
Also Her Mobility is like slightly better than the normal TIE/LN.

Luke's Red Five: He has the good stats.
The Guided Missiles deals 1500x2 damage!!
On the other hand, his main weapon's aim assist is almost zero.
You need to aim the enemy by your own.
Like Luke cut off the targeting computer in EP4 / Death Star.
(If you are using mouse and keyboard, this problem would be largely solved.)

Tallies's A-wing: She has the really good mobility.
And the highest turn speed.
So technically speaking, she can win every 1vs1 fight.
(Without considering their abilities.)
But her ability is a little bit weak.

Rey's Falcon: Unfortunately, she is the worst hero ship.
She is a tank/defensive type hero.
(Main weapons DPS is not so good.)
The enemies might have difficuly to take down her Falcon.
But in the Star Fighter Assault mode that means nothing.
To make matters worse, your team can only deploy 3 heroes.
And just 1 falcon in them.
So your team cannot use Han's/Lando's Falcon when she is in.

Agree with pretty much the whole list.

There's Black One...then everything else.

@Sati_SatiI prefer Luke over Poe because I prefer an indentured Hard Lock over Poe's ability and because Luke's torpedos are really not to be underestimated.

Also Luke can use Elite Pilot for higher mobility which Poe can't. Poe is still very similar though and fun to use too.

I don't really like the Falcons except Lando's for obvious reasons. Also I rank Tallie and Yoda the lowest for me because an opponent only needs to aim well on you once and you're toast.

I find great enjoyment in using Vader's TIE Advanced because it's fast and has a nice default turning radius.

Also I like that you're not that obtrusive as Vader because his ship is small, compact and could be mistaken for a regular TIE bomber by the opponent on the right maps.

It's just a bummer that his health buff card is so ineffective because his strong shield HP doesn't count towards the buff percentage of that star card. Iden Versio is much better off because her HP is just that of Vader plus shields, but as she doesn't have shields, her HP boost card is way more effective.

In general I really dislike the shield system because the shield always charges up last when the base HP are restored which erases the point of having a shield at all.

It would be much better if the shield regenerates independantly so that your base HP regeneration upon being hit doesn't get interrupted if you still have shield points left to absorb damage.

Kylo of course is really great again, just like in infantry modes.

I didn't get to play Maul much yet, but his unique ability and stats design is interesting.

I agree with your S ranking for Poe's Black One, but not because of a BP glitch (I wasn't even aware of that).

I feel he's S tier because of his two defensive abilities - repair droid and boost (something that no other hero ship has both of), which makes your ship much more difficult to destroy compared to other ships, so you can stay in the battle for a really long time, thus making a bigger impact in the long run: stay alive longer = more kills/damage

I would rate Tallie Lintra's A-Wing a bit higher, either A or B, because her heal is AOE and I find healing to be the best starfighter ability, a group heal makes it even better.

Red Five is a great Villain killer. 

I rated Poe in S because of his usefulness in SFA but I suppose it is reasonable there are many people who will rate Luke over him. 

(For example, in Hero Starfighter mode, I prefer Luke.)

I invested most craft metals to Vader's TIE advanced.

Yes, I like him too. 

I was shocked when I realized his barrage doesn't have a critical hit chance... 

(Unlike normal TIE's barrage. This leads him low firepower IMO...)

By the way, TIE advanced x1 has 2,800 HP (= 2,100 hull + 700 shield) same as the Iden's TIE (=2,800 hull).

Reinforced hull affects both hull and shield.

(In Star Wars Squadron, hull and shield is totally different.)

So please don't worry that is a really good card.

I used "Repair System", "Reinforced Hull" and "Elite Pilot" for him.

Yes, you are right. He has 2 great defensive abilities.

Iden has 4 abilities and BP glitch but she doesn't have that high defense so she is not rated so high...

Maybe, I need to use more.. 

(Currently she is above 40 level but still I'd be better to stay with her.)

@Sati_SatiFor real, it affects shields too? The problem is that the game only tells me about the base HP increase and that stats website you once showed me didn't go into detail about that or I missed it because of language barrier lol
