Google Authenticator and back up codes

hey all

so i lost my phone hence my Google Authenticator just chatted with someone live all good all working again. my question is what is the point in the back up codes and devices and emails if it doesn't give you the choose to use them like on google where it says use a another form of entry or something to that extent you can get a code texted to your back up devive, as far as i can see EA/origin has no such function. anyone know about this thanks in advance

Hi,

We currently only offer backup codes as an additional option if your current verification method isn't available. However, I also see the merit of your question to have users instead opt for a second verification method as backup, instead of codes.
