Getting knocked while in the void

Why am I getting knocked while I'm in the void? Pretty sure the description says invulnerable to all damage for a short period of time but I've literally had multiple games where I'm waiting to be revived while I'm in the void because some how I got knocked while in the void. I'm playing on xbox one. Please fix.

maybe there's a delay or lag that someone shot you before you entered the void

You can get straight up killed while leaving the void if someone opens a door that is too close to a wall and if you are in the way of it because normally the door would be blocked by you but technically you don't exist in the door's dimension until you come out of the void and when you do come out of it the door and you are occupying the same space which kills you.
