Game needs administrator permissions then doesn't open.

I'm trying to play Jade Empire: Special Edition through the EA Desktop and Xbox Game Pass app on PC, but it tells me I need Administrator Permissions to run it. When I try to do it, it loads up System32 and closes.

@RedbeardDNignog I got it working! Went to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Steamworks Shared\_CommonRedist\DirectX\Jun2010 and found DXSETUP.exe, ran that program which installs DirectX and now the game launches without issue. Seems I had the DirectX file game was looking for but it was in a compressed folder and unusable. Running the DX setup unpacked it into the location it needed to be in.

Same thing for me with Command & Conquer... Only game with this issue for me.

When did this happen? (dd.mm.yy hh:mm) every time I start a mass effect game
Summarize your bug Every time I start a MASS EFFECT GAME, 1, 2, 3 the app comes up with a, have to get permissions to launch this game, it opens a CMD prompt and leaves it open when the game starts, I have to manually close the window. This also happens when I start the command and conquer enhanced version. FYI, this does NOT HAPPEN launching the same game with the origin app
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? open ea desktop double click on Mass effect 2, same with the C&C games
What happens when the bug occurs? CMD window opens up and never closes, no matter how many times I have started the mentioned games this happens
What do you expect to see? The game start cleanly

ALL Mass Effect games 1,2 & 3 show this behaviour, as well as the C&C games mentioned.  AS I posted this DOES NOT HAPPEN on the same games in the origin app

Summarize your bug Every time I try to launch Pyre, it says I need admin privileges, and asks for permission for windows command processor. I say yes, and then I get a dialog box that says "There is a problem with your game setup. Please reinstall the game." I have done this repeatedly, I have restarted my computer, I have restarted Ea play. I cannot get the game to function.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Try launching Pyre.
What happens when the bug occurs? Game does not run
What do you expect to see? I expect the game to run.

Are you able to launch the game this way?

1. Browse to the folder where the game was installed.
2. Right-click on the executable and choose Run as Administrator.
3. Use the computer administrator's user name and password if asked.

@emeraldassassin1 What about compatibility mode? Right-clicking on the game's shortcut and visit properties>launch it in an older operating system.

For CnC Remastered, the .exe start EA Play, and tell me the game needs admin right.

There is no way to manually start the game

Can you try lowering the User Access Control settings?

1. Close EA Desktop
2. Click the Windows button and type "UAC" in the search field. 
3. In the User Access Control window, click and hold the slide bar —slide it to the lowest setting available. 
4. Click Okay the bottom of the window. 
5. Open the EA Desktop client and try launching the game again.
