I am having a problem with C&C2, Yuri's Revenge.
It runs but I have no mouse pointer on screen. It works when I run the game but I cannot control the settings menues because I cannot see the mouse pointer.
Any IDEAS ON HOW TO FIX THIS.?

@Lloydburkley check the C&C boards
Or give a shout @Nyerguds as he can help with the problems related to C&C and RA on modern OS.
I do not work for EA and i am not associated with the company in any way. I am a player just like you, trying to help wherever i can.I will not answer to any unsolicited PM.

I assume you mean Red Alert 2? C&C2 is Tiberian Sun...
Anyway, The graphics system patch DDWrapper is known to solve a multitude of graphics problems. Download the zip file and extract "ddraw.dll" and "aqrit.cfg" into your game folder. Then, open the configuration file "aqrit.cfg" in Notepad, change the "ForceDirectDrawEmulation" option to 1, save the file, and try running the game again.
If you still have problems with RA2 even after this, I advise installing the CnCNet installer for RA2/YR. It comes with a bunch of automatic fixes, and has a configuration tool which offers more choices in graphics fixes than just DDWrapper, so if one doesn't work you can just try if some of the other options do the trick.

Yeah, I've been away for 2 weeks at the end of August.
Currently I'm keeping myself occupied by digging through old DOS game file formats to assist a bunch of Italians in translating these games.
See, we cooperated before to make an Italian translation pack for C&C95, and later they found out that I made an editor for paletted pixel fonts for C&C, in which I also put support for some other Westwood Studios game formats used in games they were apparently also translating. And then they asked me if I could add support for the fonts of some other games they were struggling with (they need diacritics on some characters for Italian), and that made the editor grow far beyond the original scope of Westwood Studios. I'm rather proud to say it now supports the fonts of a rather ridiculous amount of games
So yea. From there I moved on to other game image formats. Lots of fun unusually, though I'm starting to get really fed up with all the weird and convoluted compression mechanisms they invented in these days, lol.

I was out as well - August is usually vacation time.. :-)
Great work on the font editor though! I'm sure it made a lot of fans happy. At the same time, I always love hearing what you're tinkering on next.
Cheers,
