@ElBirri turn down some settings go into your Nvidia control panel make some changes if you know what your doing there. I had a 1050 and it blows tbh. I got the 1060 6gb now and runs perfect

I can give you advice  but i need to know the following:

- Is he playing on a laptop or desktop?

- When playing on a laptop turning off the turbo of the CPU helps a lot with the heat.

https://www.tautvidas.com/blog/2011/04/disabling-intel-turbo-boost/

- What are his settings?

- Is his monitor plugged in his Graphic card? ( Not his motherboard )

- Is his Nvidia driver up to date?

- Is he able to tell the temperature of the GPU and CPU while playing apex?

Without modification if the graphic card hits 80C' its getting to hot and it throttles

Maybe there is a lot of dust in the fans ( Especialy when on a desktop but also possible on a laptop. )

- In his Nvidea settings did he selecs to use his GPU?

GPU settings.png

- Does his harddisk have a little space left?

Right click your C;/ and see how much space is left.

Try to keep 10% of your harddisk free if possible.

- How much of the RAM is used while playing apex? is the complete 16 GB used if yes then you have a lot of crap running in the background?

Open your task manager ( ctrl + alt + del then click task manager ) and find this:

10 series gpus start to down throttle GPU boost 3.0 at 60C.

I adjusted my fan curve for a max temp of 59C so i can hard lock at 2038GHZ at all times.  (GTX 1070)

My 4th gen Intel CPU starts to down throttle the turbo clocks at 72C.

for GTX 1050 u going to need to modify video config files imo.   Without modded files my GTX 1070 dips into the 70's, with modded files can hard lock at 100FPS with no dips ever.

I only adjust the LOD setting from 1.0 to 0.1.  Helps a ton, tell your friend to do this.
