So bear in mind this is going to be relatively lengthy but not absurd. Will add a TLDR at the end.
So my personal take on how to at least make ranked mode a little more safer for competitive play (meaning getting hackers out) would be to implement ranked mode at ONLY LEVEL 100. This works well for two reasons. One being new players can't just jump in especially if it's their very first game. It doesn't make sense to just allow people to jump into ranked til the very least level 100 simply because that doesn't even take long to achieve and by then you know the game and willing to cooperate in the more competitive scene.
This makes it especially good on stopping hackers from entering ranked because accounts are FREE. Therefor once they get banned they can create a new account and just jump right into ranked mode with no real punishment. This way once they get banned they'll at the very least have to grind a new account to max level before they can then enter and ruin ranked games. Is it fool proof? Absolutely not they can level pretty fast using hacks/bots but it will make it A LOT less prevalent especially at the higher tiers of ranked which themselves require sometime of grinding.
Having no level req. on ranked in any game is just always an overall bad idea for this exact reason. It also kills low tier competitive play (with randoms) because you never know if the guy is good and just got back into the game, or if hes brand spanking new at like level 50ish (for most people this is still considered extremely new) etc the list goes on. It will make it so everyone at the very minimum has reached enough in game knowledge and depth about map awareness when to push etc. At least more so than someone brand new. Hopefully they can get this implemented should be one of the easier things to do since I don't see it requiring much re-programming except just changing the allowed level.
TLDR: Add a level restriction on ranked to prevent hackers from creating fresh accounts once they are banned just entering ranked matches, keeping most of the hackers over on the casual map play instead. Also preventing brand new people overall from ruining random drop games.
